  • All sailors must be deemed physically fit to sail, and may be refused programming with a full refund.
  • All sailors should come dressed for the weather conditions, and be ready to get wet.
  • If the weather is deemed unsuitable for sailing to your abilities by your instructor, be prepared for land theory education.
  • If an individual class must be cancelled for any reason, you will be notified no later than 3 hours prior to your course start time.
  • If you are unable to make it to a class for any reason, please email ablesail@nsc.ca so we know to begin our class without you.
  • A minimum of 3 registrants is needed for course to run. Courses with fewer participants will be cancelled or merged with others where possible.

Learn to Race

Length: 5 lessons, Saturdays 1 to 4 pm

Fees:

  • Members: $   180.00 (plus HST) (NSC Crewing, Student or Family Membership is required.)

Prerequisites: Learn to Race introduces racing to sailors who have taken the learn to sail programs. Sailors will be able to compete in interclub racing, learn rules, tactics, and more!

Prerequisites: CANSail 2 or equivalent. NSC Crewing or Family Membership is required.
The Race team is geared towards experienced Able sailors who want to hone their skills and knowledge on the water. Participants should have at least two seasons of sailing, including completion of the Learn to Race program. The course objective is to encourage and enable sailors to compete in local regattas with their sailing companions. Coach support is provided at regattas.
